Fire in the sky! This is an image sequence containing 70 lightning shots, taken on Ikaría island, Greece, during a severe thunderstorm that took place June 16, 2011. In order to make the sequence, I set the camera to a tripod taking 20-second shots. After 83 minutes I ended up with this wall of lightning!

While vacationing with my wife in Santa Fe, New Mexico, I forecasted this tornado for southeast Colorado. My wife stayed behind, so I did the 500-kilometer drive alone. I got my photo, then I drove another 505 kilometers back to Santa Fe. When I arrived just before midnight, she asked, "How was the drive?." I answered, "It was OK." Two days later, I showed her my images. She was like, "Omg! ... Wow!"

Pues a mi la primera no me llama la atencion mas que visualmente... vamos, que meteorologicamente es un bluf... que tras 83 minutos salga eso me parece poco... quiero decir que en otras tormentazas, si dejaras la camara fija durante 83 minutos tirando 20 fotos por segundo, saldrian muchiiiisimos mas rayos...

La primera ya la ví, ya que está hecha con la misma cámara que me compré; a ver si consigo algo parecido  .

Sencillamente bestial, naturaleza desencadenada en estado puro, y lo fundamental es lo limpio de la foto, la mayoría de las fotos de tornados tienen a su alrededor mucha nubosidad o lluvia y en este caso con el cielo claro detrás y la claridad entrando de lado sin que de directamente el sol le dan un toque único, casi irreal.
