El Altungana es una colina bien posicionada en las cercanías del puerto de Barazar y proporciona una admirable panorámica tanto sobre el macizo del Gorbea como el del Anboto. Ayer realizamos una sencilla circular que parte desde el puerto y en la que hubo ciertos atisbos de primavera. Esa primavera que tanto se echa de menos...
Ubicación: Sierra de Altun, Vizcaya.
Cima: Altungana (759m).
Desnivel acumulado: 197m.
Distancia: 5,61km.
Duración: 2h y 15min.
Acceso: Partimos desde el puerto de Barazar, al que se puede llegar vía Legutiano (AP-1) o por Amorebieta y Zeanuri (A-8).

Plantaciones de pinos lawson tapan parte de la panorámica, pero las cumbres del Gorbea están muy cerca.

LAS NOTAS (La escala es del 1 al 5):
DIFICULTAD: 1,5. Ruta sencilla que no ofrece grandes complicaciones.
BELLEZA DEL ITINERARIO: 2,5. Hay demasiado pinar, pero las vistas son destacables.
IMPORTANCIA DE LA CUMBRE: 2.
Y ASÍ LO VIO MI PADRE: Mi partenaire me comenta que "a destacar la bonita vista sobre el valle y sus caseríos diseminados".
Esta noche viene un coletazo más del invierno. Esperemos que sea el último...
