A Cyclone WATCH for a developing tropical low continues for coastal areas from
Croker Island to Cape Fourcroy.
At 3:30 am CST a Tropical Low was estimated to be 150 kilometres north northwest
of Goulburn Island and 305 kilometres northeast of Darwin and moving west at 15
kilometres per hour parallel to the coast.
There is the possibility of a cyclone developing but GALES are not expected in
coastal areas within the next 24 hours, however gales could develop later.

Pues sí, Pepe, LAURENCE categoría 1 para el JTWC...
- Sin embargo el RSMC (Regional Specialized Meteorology Center) competente y en este caso el Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology asigna 220km/h (118kt) con lo que es catalogado como Categoría 3 para Bureau.
- Pequeño pero destructivo.

Severe Tropical Cyclone Laurence is a small but intense tropical cyclone moving
southwest close to the Kimberley coast. VERY DESTRUCTIVE WINDS with gusts to 220
kilometres per hour are being experienced close to the system centre and are
expected to extend along the coast to Kuri Bay overnight.

Pues sí, los mapas del Europeo liberados y por tanto se puede seguir a LAURENCE en su recorrido por la Costa Occidental Australiana, hasta la Costa Pácifica, dejando de ser Tropical en cuanto se adentre en el interior continental.
- Desde de luego la cantidad de agua en zonas con precipitaciones escasas va a ser importante.

Inquietante, sí. Porque no estaba previsto en el guión que se fortaleciese tanto, casi pegado a la costa. Parece que va a seguir pegado a ella, bajando hacia el SW "a cuchillo" y entrando por la bahía de Derby. :cold:

CICLON TROPICAL (TC) 06S (Laurence), ubicado aproximadamente a 440 millas náuticas al Noreste de Puerto Hedland, AUSTRALIA, ha seguido hacia el Sur a 08 NUDOS durante las últimas seis horas. LAURENCE ha girado marcadamente al SUR y ahora se encuentra sobre tierra. EL CICLON continuarán moviéndose tierra adentro en la periferia occidental con su eje de nivel superior, NORTE-SUR DE DIRECCIÓN RIDGE, AMPLIADO hacia el Este al día siguiente. Está previsto su debilitamiento sobre tierra, mientras aumenta la influencia de DIRECCIÓN DEL NIVEL BAJO RIDGE hacia el suroeste. Esta cresta tenderá a enviar al entonces REMANENTE de circulación, hacia el oeste. Dada la previsión actual es poco probable que la circulación pueda sobrevivir a más de tres dias, en su tránsito sobre tierra y entrar nuevamente dentro del OCÉANO ÍNDICO como un Sistema capaz de regeneración. Los Modelos no siempre aciertan y si veíamos que el Europeo pronósticaba un giro hacia el SE, JTWC indica la posibilidad comentada por Sudoku, que recurve hacia el SW después de estar varios días en tierra y se vuelva a posicionar sobre aguas del Índico.

El pico de intensidad de los americanos es escaso, porque está con topes muy frios sobre partes del eyewall. No me extrañaría que sufriera el pico de intensidad desde que nació ahora, superando los 115kt de hace días antes de que entrase por primera vez en Australia

LAURENCE prosigue su avance por el interior de Australia. El JTWC ha dado por finalizados sus avisos sobre el ciclón. No hay reportes sobre muertes, pero si sobre daños

Los remanentes de LAURENCE siguen vagando por el inteior de Australia, abandonando el estado del NW de Australia, para entrar entre los estados del N y S de Australia
No hay reportes de daños materiales, aunque si de intensas lluvias. Está previsto que alcance el estado de Nueva Gales del Sur (Sidney), de cara al fin de semana
