Pues según el BOM, el IGGY ya es un ciclón cat 1....Rápido desarrollo que en 36 horas le convertirá en un major...cat 3.
"Remarks:
Tropical Cyclone Iggy is a Category 1 system and has been moving slowly west. It is expected to move to the south southeast over the next 72 hours, bringing it towards the western Pilbara coast.
Gales are not expected in coastal communities on Thursday or Friday, however coastal communities near the North West Cape, including Coral Bay, Exmouth and Onslow may experience gales during Saturday. Rainfall is likely to increase on Friday in coastal parts of the Pilbara and on the west coast north of Cape Cuvier.
Strong winds, heavy rainfall and abnormally large swells will be experienced near Christmas Island, the Kimberley and Pilbara coasts due to the influence of a strong monsoonal flow.
FESA-State Emergency Service advises that there are no community alerts at present.
Communities between Carnarvon and Karratha should listen for the next issue.

NiNE , por que es la novena Tormenta Tropical para la zona del Índico SE , esa pagina no está actualizada , tampoco suelen tardar en hacerlo. Ofrece buena información y sus enlaces son de los más interesantes.
Para su actualización , ya modificaran el nombre de NINE por IGGY.
A otras webs les dan muy mucho por nombrarlas directamente muchas veces con el nombre de NO-NAME.

Muchas gracias por resolverme la duda,eso he pensado yo,lo de que es la novena pero bueno,como ponen a veces nombres tan ratos jeje.

ADT subiendo como la espuma , algo se esta cociendo. Aunque los indices de calor oceánico por donde tiene que transcurrir Iggy no son muy elevados , pero si para poder ver crecer un Categoría 2 en la escala Saffir Simpson. Y también se puede apreciar cierto embolsamiento de aire seco al sur del sistema. Por lo que su velocidad de traslación va a ser crucial para su desarrollo , por que más al sur la cizalladura aumentará los próximos días y se situarán en valores de 15-20 KT , no es mucho... pero va muy justo.

Buff , el GFS en su ultima actualización lo aproxima más de la cuenta a las costas del W australiano y precisamente no como un Ciclón moderado... Esteremos atentos a los posibles cambios en su Track.
De momento , aumenta su fuerza y su anillo convectivo presenta un muy buen aspecto en estos momentos.

The EC and UK models indicate only light to moderate shear over the next 72
hours with the possibility that an upper trough will interact favourably and
provide upper cyclonic vorticity and an outflow channel to the SE. Hence steady
intenisfication is forecast with the system reaching severe in 36 to 48 hours.

En principio el Europeo y el GFS van de la mano , y llevan a IGGY con dirección SE , dirección a las costas del W australiano. Pero no llegaría a impactar directamente , pero por muy poco.

La convección sigue desplazada al W del sistema debido a la elevada cizalladura , que se sitúa en torno a los 25 KT , pero que será mucho más favorable a partir de 12 horas.
Comentado por el JTWC , yo vuelvo a dudar sobre la posición real del centro... :risa:

La marina se une a los australianos y Zas! , cambio radical en el Track e intensidad del posible ciclón. Pico máximo previsto por el JTWC de 90 KT , muy generoso por cierto.
Parece que se está organizando mejor el sistema y la cizalladura en estos momentos es favorable.

Como comenta Hardstyle, tanto la marina como el BOM cambian el track aunque ahora el JTWC le da un pico máximo de 75KT.

Tenía mucho mejor organización y mucha más convección hace 24 horas que ahora. Muy difícil lo va a tener para pasar a la categoría 2 en la escala S.S , visto lo visto.

Paso atrás de Iggy que pierde la categoría de huracán. El JTWC no le da posibilidades de que se refuerce y poco a poco va a ir debilitándose a medida que avanza en dirección sur.
