En Manhattan hay algo de nieve cuajada , se nota que las temperatura no acompaña, la isla de calor, los operarios....Si os fijáis hay operarios y una excavadora encima de la acera.

Veamos, estoy hablando de memoria, pero que yo recuerde en Nueva York ha habido al menos 5 temporales terribles de nieve, sin contar éste.
1888 de record, Nueva York desapareció del mapa.
1898.
1947 superior a la de 1898.
20 de febrero de 1978, superior a la de 1947.
12 de febrero de 2007, superior a la de1978.
Y por supuesto la del 2009.
Pero por si se me escapa alguno miraré las bases de datos para ampliaros la muestra.
Y sobre lo del "hambre"  de Pacobnk, no voy a hacer ningún comentario, eso si que es un dato científico, de los que tanto os gustan.

The most powerful storms to impact the Mid Atlantic Region in winter are "Nor'easters." Tracking along the coast, these storms cause strong northeast winds which create wind and water damage sometimes similar to category one hurricanes. The strong winds drive large waves onshore, eroding beaches and flooding shorelines. Cold high pressure is usually centered over Quebec or northern New England, providing a rich source of cold, dry air into the Mid Atlantic states. Heavy snowfall, sleet, and wind seriously hamper travel, and cause power outages.

Forecasting these storms and what weather the region will receive can be difficult. The heaviest snow generally occurs in a band around 50 miles wide. To the east of that heavy snow, it changes to a mixture of ice and then rain. To the west of the band, snowfall amounts are significantly less. That means that by just moving the center of the storm 50 miles to the east or west will completely change the type and severity of the weather received.

The biggest unofficial snow (before official records began) was in January 1772 when as much as 36 inches (3 feet) may have fallen in the Washington DC-Baltimore area. It has been called the Washington-Jefferson snowstorm because it was recorded in both of their diaries.

Esta ya anocheciendo por aqui. Los vientos con rachas fuertes siguen por aqui. Sin embargo, ya nieva poco aunque la ventisca sigue levantando mucha nieve. Sensacion de frio para regalar....

Lo que está ocurriendo en EEUU, era muy normal hace unas décadas, incluso nevadas mayores. Ahora las noticias magnifican todo demasiado.
De todas formas esto va seguir así durante todo el invierno, con alguna pequeña tregua. Por cierto el invierno este año, climatológicamente hablando, se va a alargar cerca de un mes más.
Por lo que se refiere a la península ibérica, antes de 20 días deberíamos tener un temporal con abundante precipitación en forma de nieve. Y no estoy hablando de estos días que se acercan.

Viendo la camara, yo creo que sigue nevando bien, lo que pasa, es que el calor de la bombilla derrite la nieve de encima de la farola (si es ha eso a lo que te refieres)  
Como digo, creo que sigue nevando bien.  

EDITO: Ademas, he visto ahora la ultima imagen, y se intuyen algunas rodadas por los carriles centrales.

Sip, han encendido esas dos farolas que están en primer plano y han quedado limpias de nieve. Ahora mismo Manhattan está recibiendo lo más crudo de la tormenta según cuentan en Accuweather. Y parece que aún les quedan algunas horas de nevada.
