Hace muchos días que el GFS viene insinuando y ya está aquí. De momento amenaza a Belice y Yucatán.

GOES-16 1-minute visible imagery indicates that the low-level
circulation of the system has closed off again, although the system
is still a bit elongated north-to-south.  Westerly shear has caused
the center to be exposed to the west and north of the primary
convective banding features.  NOAA Hurricane Hunter tail Doppler
radar data also show that the low is tilted southeastward with
height, a reflection of the current shear.  Still, the plane had
numerous SFMR values of around 35 kt, and dropsonde data showed the
pressure has dropped to 1003 mb.  These values are sufficient to
call the system a tropical storm with an initial wind speed of 35
kt.

is higher than the bulk of the guidance.



No me da buena espina  por si acaso que se preparen en Belize

Al menos las áreas de tormentas con topes muy fríos, que son un indicador subjetivo de la intensidad de la lluvia está creciendo esta mañana (tarde en España) y eso se asocia con una posible intensificación del sistema y lo que es una afirmación de perogrullo pues evidentemente un incremento en la intensidad de las lluvias asociadas.

La próxima madrugada tocará tierra en Belize, presumiblemente como categoría 2

Finalmente LISA ha atravesado la peninsula de Yucatán como Huracán Cat.1 y ahora mismo es Depresión en la Bahía de Campeche, con condiciones un tanto desaforables; pero que no serán impedimento para que vuelva a convertirse en Tormenta durante unas pocas horas, antes de ser arrasada por la cizalladura reinante en el Golfo de México a estas alturas del año
