TROPICAL CYCLONE WARNING CENTRE PERTH
Tropical Cyclone Melanie [Category 1] was located at 3 pm WDT near 18.8S 111.5E,
that is 445 km northwest of Exmouth and moving west at 8 kilometres per hour.
Tropical Cyclone Melanie
is continuing to weaken and move on a westerly track
away from the west Pilbara coast. The cyclone is expected to remain offshore and
gales are not expected in coastal communities.
