Buscando información para nuestro compañero Meteo-Alahurín, me encontrado con el Wkiki del VWS con una posible solución a su problema de comunicación, os lo pongo en inglés, si alguien no lo entiende ya lo traduciremos
Problem
My WMR100 USB (or USB converter) interface stopped communicating to Virtual Weather Station.
Solution
A. Make sure all of the power save features on the computer are turned off.
1. Select Control Panel in Windows and Power Options.
2. Select Power Schemes to Always On.
3. Select all options for Power Schemes for Always On to Never.
4. Select the Hybernate Tab and make sure this option to Enable Hybernation is Off.
B. Turn off all other USB devices and associated programs.
C. Try running Virtual Weather Station on a different computer.
Advanced Troublehooting
We are currently troubleshooting this problem and gathering information from the raw data feed. To participate in this troubleshooting program, please perform the following:
1. Download the Virtual Weather Station executable file vws.exe here
http://site.ambientweatherstore.com/vws/vws.exe 2. Replace the existing vws.exe file on your computer. To determine where this file is located, right click on the Virtual Weather Station icon on your desktop and select Properties and then Shortcut.
3. Run Virtual Weather Station. The file \vws\data\wmr100.txt is created with raw data collected from the WMR-100 weather station.
4. If Virtual Weather Station stops updating, make a note of the the date and time of the last update.
5. Send the file \vws\data\wmr100.txt along with the date and time of the last update to
[email protected] 6. Note - this file is recreated each time Virtual Weather Station is restarted, do send this file before you restart VWS. The file contains a time stamp that will allow us to look at the quality of the data. Please note that this will be constantly writing data to your hard drive and will slow down the operation of your computer.
