Issued at 12:05 am WST on Sunday, 26 March 2006

TROPICAL CYCLONE WARNING CENTRE PERTH

A CYCLONE WARNING is now current for a developing tropical low for coastal and
island areas between Mitchell Plateau and Cape Leveque, not including Derby.

A CYCLONE WATCH extends south to Bidyadanga, including Broome and Derby.

At 11pm WST a tropical low was estimated to be
140 kilometres west southwest of Mitchell Plateau
235 Kilometres north northeast of Derby and
380 kilometres northeast of Broome
and was moving west southwest at 8 kilometres per hour.

The low is expected to move further west into the Indian Ocean and deepen into a
tropical cyclone during Monday morning. Gales with gusts to 100 kilometres per
hour are expected to develop on the coast between Mitchell Plateau and Cape
Leveque during Monday morning. If the system takes a more southwesterly track,
then gales may extend south to Derby and Broome during Tuesday.

Tides will be higher than expected between Mitchell Plateau and Cape Leveque.

Widespread heavy rain is expected though the western Kimberley during Monday.

Arm Point and Cape Leveque should commence taking precautions.

En esta imagen se puede observar, como a FLOYD le queda poquita vida.
También podemos ver al 97S (30 kt-1000 mb), que se formó en tierra, adentrándose al mar y adquiriendo poderío.
Si miramos al Oeste de Australia, podremos ver al 98S (25 kt-1002 mb), que en las últimas horas se ha ido fortaleciendo.
Y por último, tenemos al 99S. Este Sistema Tropical se está formando al S-SE de Madagascar. En estos momentos, tiene 15 kt-1006 mb.



Lo que está clarísimo, es quien se aburre es porque quiere.

TROPICAL CYCLONE WARNING CENTRE PERTH

A CYCLONE WARNING is current for a CATEGORY 2 CYCLONE for coastal and island
areas between Mitchell Plateau and Bidyadanga. A CYCLONE WATCH extends south to
Whim Creek.

At 5pm WST TROPICAL CYCLONE GLENDA was estimated to be
125 kilometres north northeast of Cape Leveque and
225 kilometres north northwest of Derby
and was moving west southwest at 13 kilometres per hour.

Gales with gusts to 130 kilometres per hour may develop in coastal parts between
Mitchell Plateau and Cape Leveque tonight, extending south to Bidyadanga during
Tuesday.

Tides will be higher than expected between Mitchell Plateau and Cape Leveque.

Scattered thunderstorms are expected through the Kimberley with heavy falls
possible in western coastal parts. Refer to current flood warnings for more
information.

TROPICAL CYCLONE WARNING CENTRE PERTH

A CYCLONE WARNING is current for a CATEGORY 3 CYCLONE for coastal and island
areas between Cape Leveque and Bidyadanga. A CYCLONE WATCH extends south to
Dampier.

At 5am WST SEVERE TROPICAL CYCLONE GLENDA was estimated to be
145 kilometres northwest of Cape Leveque and
270 kilometres north of Broome
and was moving west southwest at 13 kilometres per hour
.

Gales with gusts to 120 kilometres per hour are possible in coastal parts
between Cape Leveque and Beagle Bay for the next few hours. The cyclone is
expected to move roughly parallel to the coast in the next few days and
intensify further. Should the cyclone move closer to the coast than expected,
gales with gusts to 120 kilometres per hour may extend south to Bidyadanga
during Tuesday and then south to Dampier during Wednesday or the early hours of
Thursday.

Tides will be higher than normal between Kuri Bay and Cape Leveque.

Scattered thunderstorms are expected through the Kimberley with heavy falls
possible in western coastal parts. Refer to current flood warnings for more
information.

Lo que me deja asombrado es el ciclón formado en tierra, yo también me lo pregunto  ¿por qué se ha formado un sistema tropical  en plena tierra?

TROPICAL CYCLONE WARNING CENTRE PERTH

A CYCLONE WARNING is now current for a CATEGORY 5 CYCLONE for coastal areas
between Wallal and Mardie.

A CYCLONE WATCH extends from Mardie to Exmouth.

At 8pm WST SEVERE TROPICAL CYCLONE GLENDA was estimated to be
240 kilometres northwest of Broome and
450 kilometres north northeast of Port Hedland
and was moving southwest at 18 kilometres per hour.


Communities along the Pilbara should be aware that SEVERE TROPICAL CYCLONE
GLENDA is expected to approach coast later on Wednesday and during Thursday.
Gales with gusts to 125 kilometres per hour may develop along the Pilbara coast
between Wallal and Mardie as early as Wednesday night but more likely early on
Thursday morning. There is the risk of very destructive winds during Thursday as
the cyclone moves closer to the coast.

  Location of centre : within 30 kilometres of
                       Latitude 16.7 South Longitude 120.4 East.

  Recent movement    : Southwest at 18 kilometres per hour.

  Maximum wind gusts : 300 kilometres per hour.
  Severity Category  : 5

present.
